Frequently asked questions
Please take a look at some of the questions we are often asked. If you can't find an answer to your questions, please contact us.
What do I need to bring with me?
Most of our investigations are completed in the darkness. Please bring a torch and check the batteries before setting off for the event.
Most events will have hot and cold drinks provided, but we know some people prefer items that will not be available. Please make sure to bring your own snacks if you have any specific dietary requirements.
What should I wear?
Although many venues are indoors, temperatures can often fluctuate throughout the evening, with few places heated during the night.
Please bring warm clothing - layers are often a good option. If there is an outdoors element to the location, please be prepared for that. Gloves, hats and scarves are a must during the winter investigations.
Please wear comfortable shoes suited to the activity. You will often be walking across uneven or occasionally slippery surfaces, and will be standing for periods of time. We'd advise something that is comfortable, warm, and has good grip.
Do I need to bring my own ghost hunting equipment?
No - we will provide the group with all of the equipment we need for the investigation.
If you have your own equipment though, please feel free to bring it along. We all have approaches or techniques that we tend to be drawn too. Please just let your host know at the start of the sessions, so we can best advise you on fitting it in with the planned activities.
What happens if I get scared?
It's okay to feel scared! Some of the venues can feel scary at times. Please know that you are with experienced hosts at all times.
We are not a scare fest company - nobody will be hiding, waiting to jump out on you, and no experiences will be faked.
If you feel scared, let your host know so that we can support you in the best way and ensure that you still enjoy your evening.
What happens if I'm ill during a ghost hunt?
If you feel unwell at any time during a ghost hunt, please speak to a member of the team immediately.
If you have ongoing health conditions, please take all normal actions to manage this (e.g. bring medication or specific snacks), and let us know when you arrive.
We will try to note on the event description if a location is particularly dusty, damp, or has uneven surfaces so please be sure to check the venue description prior to booking.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to refund any part of ticket sales if you need to leave the event due to ill health. Please consider carefully if the event is suitable for you if you have any ongoing conditions, as it is your responsibility to make sure that you are well enough to attend and take part.
If you're unsure, please contact us.
Do I have to take part in all activities?
Each event will have planned activities for the evening. Some will be more spiritual and some will be more technological based. Your host will explain briefly at the start of the session what we are doing.
We encourage all guests to take part, as this is about you having a go at ghost hunting and not simply paying to watch somebody else do it. However, we respect everyone's wishes and will never make anyone take part in an activity if they do not wish to.
Everyone will be asked if they wish to take part at the beginning of each session.
I've never done a ghost hunt before. Will I be welcome?
Everyone is welcome at Full Circle Paranormal events! We welcome guests with a whole range of experience.
All activities are fully explained so you do not need to have prior knowledge of the activities before attending.
If there's anything you're not sure of, just ask! Your hosts are all very experienced at leading events over the years. We specialise in building guests' confidence, so that they feel comfortable to try activities and decide for themselves what they may have seen, heard or felt.
The ghost hunting community are often very friendly, welcoming and supportive, and keen to share their interests with others. We've selected some events which may be more suited to a first time event, just to see if you like it!
Will I be able to complete lone vigils at the venue? Do I need to stay with my group all night?
All events are planned with guests working in small groups throughout the evening. We work hard to ensure that guests mingle in groups and are respected at all times. If you are unhappy with your group for whatever reason, please let your host know so that we can move groups around, and ensure that you continue to enjoy your evening.
Some venues may also provide us with the opportunity to work in lone vigils, so if this is possible, your host will let you know. All venues are different though, so please do not expect this will always be an option.
Some venues may also allow individual exploration at the end of the event. However, due to health and safety, this is restricted to certain venues, and cannot be offered for all events. If available, this will be added in the venue description.
Can I take photos or record events?
This is becoming increasingly popular! We welcome photos and other methods of recording, as long as a few rules are followed.
We ask that any flash photography is announced before taking the photos - this avoids the rest of your group seeing orbs for the next 20 minutes because they looked at the flash!
Some venues have restrictions - we will let you know about them at the start of the evening. This may include sharing any personal data e.g. the names of spirits who come through. We treat this information with respect and sensitivity, as we know families of these people may still be in the area and may become distressed by some information that could be shared.
You will need consent from anyone in the video to publish it on any platform - this is your responsibility.
